Spanish Manga Chibi Comic

Hola mi amigos! If you are studying another language, why not? Creating this Chibi comic in espanol was really helpful for me to understand the tenses of Spanish words.
La gente, les presento a mi cómico español: Tres en una acera.
I really like how I balanced the whites and blacks in this scene, and in the first panel my littlest sister understood they were in a restaurant, which was my goal.

The balance is askew in this one, but I used differentiation in line width to up the understand-ability of the chibis needing to be focused on. Both of these chibi comic pages I am including in my inktober portfolio, which puts me only a couple of days behind. :P Use babblefish or the like if you want to translate, it should give you a rough I idea of what's going on at least. Internet translators are faulty at best.

Manga Layout Process: draft-final

For this first and second drafts I use copy paper. This draft is to find out where my characters are, if my word balloons will fit, and how I'm going to do my layout. right to left this time, ladies and gents! In the next draft( below) I add a few details so we can tell who everybody is and write in the words to see if THEY fit. Drafting should always be done lightly and quickly so you can create a fluid and visually stimulating Manga page.
The first panel is a building- no characters; but hey, wait up! This is important! I got this tip from a pro and it's blessed my manga incredibly: If you suck at backgrounds( which I do) then use the first panel to set the scene, make it semi-detailed, look at a picture; then all the rest of the page is completely capable of handling itself without many props at all! Study this in the final page.
and the final product! I ink in the panels first, then everything else- except for the bottom two. It's a great tip to draw whatever lines aren't being interrupted- in other words, what's on top? This time it's the girl, not the panel, as her head breaks through the panel line. Ink her first, then the panels, to avoid unnecessary inking mistakes.
your final should be on sturdier paper- I use card stock, because it's cheap and doesn't wear out when erasing or using gobs of white-out.
The word balloons are empty because I add text in the computer to evade my unintelligible handwriting.

Manga Inktober 2016 #4 aka I killed my cinnamon roll

Oh. Wow. Would you look at that? My cinnamon roll just died. Too much blood, yes, but I love the tear-turns-red thingy I have going on and before I knew it there was red everywhere. Character tip #54 after you envision a character, imagine their death. <--- that's kinda a joke but can be very helpful. XD

He's a hot guy and I'm not one to deny that. I played around with this character when I decided to draw Zakiah in his human form. Zakiah is a spirit that is a guardian and shepherd of souls lost in lingo. Zakiah's spirit form.
Some fashion character sketches. Drew this at work the other day when I was totally rocking my high-heeled boots. :P

Left was inspired by listening to the Rosemary's baby song and the right is a sketch of... bad guys? it started out as a group chibi pic of my villains and then several other chibis wondered on who weren't the antagonists, but lost 'thee one.'

Manga Inktober 2016 #3

Looky here I did a background! I saw a couple of pins on pinterest that inspired the trees. I used my technical pens on this, but on all the rest I used a ball-point to create my manga characters.
This is a pose I drew in my last post in Inktober #10 fleshed out in ball point pen.
With the ball-point pen I was able to shade and change the width of my lines easily just by changing the pressure. Really like her pose.
I'm shopping for a new swimsuit, and if I could, I'd probably wear this one. :P I wonder if you can design your own swimsuit?? I love this manga girls shoulders, and her eyes. 'why did I switch to technical pen in the first place?' *smudges ink across girls' face.* 'Ah. Now I remember.'
Here is my newest cinnamon roll Eidon. He is a little bit like Vio, for any four swords fans out there, but with a little bit of Green mixed in.

Manga Inktober 2016 #2

Another set of ink pictures and manga for inktober. ;)
A technical pen is a girl's best friend!
The markings distract from the overall design and I should have left them out.
That is supposed to be an explosion...
'really bored and couldn't think of anything and I was behind' is the only way to explain this one
Practicing perspective to enhance my drawings!

Manga Inktober 2016 #1

All of these were drawn using my Technical drawing pens I got for my birthday. :3 I used a prismacolor C pen for filling in different sections in #1 and #2.
Manga Inktober sketch #1: Abstract stuffs- practicing drapery. XD
Manga Inktober #2 Okay so I drew this earlier but whatever. I touched up a strand of hair or so.
Manga Inktober #3 Medusa was vain, but not cruel. She became a statue in her own garden using Perseus' shield.
Manga Inktober #4 added a little color to her swimsuit. :)
Manga Inktober #5 I tried out several different styles of manga and anime eyes, decided I liked a couple. :P

Every five days I'll post all five Ink drawings for Manga Inktober like this! :P
